Planning Umrah a year ahead is a smart way to get a good fare and a choice of hotels. Here is a look at what a November 2027 trip from Toronto to Jeddah can cost, based on a recent FJ quote.

November is a popular month for Umrah, so seats and the better-located hotels tend to go early. If your dates are flexible, tell us. Moving a day or two can change the fare.

The airfare is a starting price. The final fare depends on the airline, the exact dates and what is available when you book.

Hotels

Makkah: Voco Makkah. At $100 CAD per night with breakfast, it is the more economical of the two stays. It comes with a free shuttle.

Medina: ODST Medina or Al Ansar, or similar. The rate is $185 CAD per night with breakfast. The "or similar" means we can swap in a comparable hotel if your first choice is sold out for your dates.

Budgeting example

Hotel costs add up by the night. For example, 5 nights in Makkah at $100 CAD comes to $500 CAD. 5 nights in Medina at $185 CAD comes to $925 CAD. Add the visa and airfare to see your total. The number of nights is up to you, so choose a split between the two cities that suits your plans.
