Winter Break Umrah from Toronto with an Istanbul Stopover: 2026 Package Guide

Planning Umrah over the winter break? One popular way to do it is a short 5-night Umrah followed by a few days in Istanbul on the way home. Here is how an FJ Travels and Tours package of this kind looks, with the prices we quoted.

The route

• Late December 2026: fly Toronto to Medina, arriving two days after departure
• 5 nights in Saudi Arabia: 3 nights in Makkah and 2 nights in Medina
• Five days later: fly Jeddah to Istanbul
• Early January 2027: fly Istanbul to Toronto after four nights in Turkey

Flights were booked in economy class.

What it costs

• Umrah package, 2 travellers sharing one double room: $9,000 CAD total (luxury package)
• Umrah package, 3 travellers, economy flights secured: $13,500 CAD total, which works out to about $4,500 CAD per person
• Istanbul hotel and airport pick-up and drop-off only: $900 CAD total, in 4-star hotels with breakfast
• Istanbul 4-night tour package for 3 adults: $2,500 CAD total, covering hotel, airport transfers and a daily city tour

What is included

Umrah package:

• Saudi visas
• Complete ground transportation in Saudi Arabia
• Double room with breakfast
• Return flights from Toronto

Istanbul tour package:

• 4 nights' hotel stay
• Airport pick-up and drop-off
• Daily city tour, with a detailed itinerary shared before travel

Good to know

• The train ticket is not included. If you plan to take the high-speed train between the holy cities, ask us to add it or advise on it.
• Holding seats: to hold flights while you decide, we need either the full names of all travellers or passport copies.
• Winter break is busy. Late December and New Year seats sell quickly, so a held fare may not stay available for long.
• Group size changes the price. Adding a traveller changes both the package and the Istanbul quote, so tell us the final number early.
• Istanbul is easy to add. Flying Jeddah to Istanbul and then home lets you break up the long journey and see the city for a few days.

We can adjust the number of nights, hotel level and extras to suit your group.
