Toronto to Mauritius Over the Holidays: Fares Quoted for December 2026

Mauritius is a popular choice for travellers looking to escape the Canadian winter, and the December holidays are one of the busiest times to go. Here is a look at the fares FJ Travels and Tours quoted recently for a trip over the holiday season, to help you plan your own.

The route

• Destination: Mauritius (airport code MRU)
• Departure city for the one-way fare: Toronto Pearson (YYZ)
• Round-trip timing: departing mid-December 2026 and returning in early January 2027, about 16 days away

FJ checked the fare against other airlines for these dates. The round-trip fare quoted was the lowest available, and the other airlines FJ looked at were more expensive.

What it costs

| Ticket type | Quoted fare | |---|---| | Round trip, mid-December to early January | $4,340 CAD | | One way, YYZ to MRU | $2,740 CAD |

All fares include taxes. Peak holiday dates usually mean higher prices, so the round-trip fare is a useful benchmark for travel over the school break.

Round trip or one way?

A one-way ticket can make sense if you plan to return on a different date, from a different place, or after a longer stay. Keep in mind that two one-way tickets can add up. In this example, the one-way fare is $2,740 CAD, while the full round trip is $4,340 CAD. For a fixed return date, the round trip is the better value.

Good to know

• Book early for the holidays. Seats for mid-December departures and early-January returns fill up fast, and fares can rise as they do.
• Compare airlines. Fares for the same dates can differ a lot between carriers, so it helps to have an agent check several options.
• Confirm the fare details. Before you pay, ask your agent to confirm the airline, routing, baggage allowance, and whether the fare is per person.
• Check your documents. Make sure your passport is valid for your whole stay and check Mauritius's current entry requirements before you travel.
