Toronto to Islamabad Direct on PIA: December Fares and Tips

Planning to fly from Toronto to Islamabad over the winter holidays? December is one of the busiest times to travel to Pakistan, and fares move quickly. Here is what FJ Travels and Tours quoted for a mid-December departure on PIA, plus a few tips for booking.

The route

• Route: Toronto (YYZ) to Islamabad (ISB), return
• Airline: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA)
• Direct flights: At the time of the quote there was only one direct flight a week to Islamabad, so your departure choices are limited.
• Travel month: Mid-December 2026 departure, returning late December or early January.

What it costs

These fares were quoted per ticket, in Canadian dollars, with one checked bag of 28 kg each way:

• Mid-December departure, return in late December: $2,450 CAD
• Mid-December departure, return in early January: $2,590 CAD

For the early-January return, our agent was able to offer a discounted fare of $2,495 CAD. A few days later the fare and taxes had risen. The ticket was then $2,616 CAD, or $2,525 CAD after FJ's discount.

What is included

• Return flight on PIA
• One checked bag of 28 kg each way
• All taxes

Good to know

• Fares change often. Airfares and taxes can move within days. The early-January fare rose by about $30 CAD between quotes, so don't wait too long once you have a price.
• Flexible dates help. With only one direct flight a week, being flexible by a few days gives you more choice. A return in late December was about $140 CAD cheaper than a return in early January.
• Ask about baggage. Fares are usually quoted with one bag, and a second bag can cost extra, so confirm your allowance before you pay.
• Have your passport ready. Agents need a clear photo of your passport to issue a ticket, so have it on hand when you book.
• Check your ticket carefully. Review the name, dates and email address on your invoice and ticket, and ask your agent to correct anything that looks wrong.
