Toronto to Cairo Economy Flights: Non-Stop vs One-Stop Fares

Planning a trip from Toronto to Cairo for late September to mid-October 2026? We compared two economy options for a return trip of about four weeks: a non-stop on EgyptAir and a one-stop routing through Frankfurt. Here is how they stack up.

The route

Option 1: EgyptAir non-stop (Toronto–Cairo)

• Outbound, September: MS996 Toronto (YYZ) to Cairo (CAI), departing 12:45 PM and arriving 6:10 AM the next day.
• Return, October: MS995 Cairo to Toronto, departing 2:55 AM and arriving 7:25 AM.
• Direct both ways, with no stops.

Option 2: One stop in Frankfurt

• Outbound, September: Condor DE2403 from Toronto to Frankfurt, departing 7:55 PM and arriving 9:40 AM the next day. A Frankfurt–Cairo flight follows at 8:00 PM, landing in Cairo at 1:05 AM.
• Return, October: Cairo to Frankfurt departing 2:05 AM and arriving 5:30 AM, then Condor DE2402 from Frankfurt to Toronto, departing 3:15 PM and arriving 5:55 PM.
• Expect long layovers in Frankfurt, roughly 10 hours each way.

What it costs

• One stop via Frankfurt: $1,525 CAD per person, economy, round trip.
• EgyptAir non-stop: $1,625 CAD per person, economy, round trip. An earlier estimate for the non-stop was $1,640 CAD, so the final fare depends on the date and seat availability when you book.

The non-stop costs about $100 CAD more. In exchange you skip the long layovers, and the journey is much shorter.

• Both fares are for economy, return, and include taxes.
• The Frankfurt routing arrives in Cairo at 1:05 AM. Plan your airport pickup or hotel check-in for the early hours.
• The EgyptAir return leaves Cairo at 2:55 AM, so you will check in late at night on your last day.
• If you want a routing through another hub, such as Johannesburg, ask us. We can check what is available for your dates.
• Fares change often. Shoulder-season dates like late September and October can sell out, so it helps to lock in your seat early.
