Toronto to Amritsar via London and Delhi: A 2-Week Itinerary from $2,575 CAD

Amritsar is one of the most popular destinations for Canadians travelling to Punjab, and there are several ways to get there from Toronto. This routing goes out through London Heathrow and Delhi and returns through Delhi, for about two weeks away. Here is how it works.

The route

Outbound (early October 2026)

• Toronto (YYZ) → London (LHR): AC854, departs 6:35 PM, arrives 6:35 AM the next morning
• London (LHR) → Delhi (DEL): AI162, departs 9:45 AM, arrives 12:25 AM the following night
• Delhi (DEL) → Amritsar (ATQ): AI1703, departs 5:10 AM, arrives 6:25 AM

Return (mid-October 2026)

• Amritsar (ATQ) → Delhi (DEL): AC6442, departs 1:20 PM, arrives 2:40 PM
• Delhi (DEL) → Toronto (YYZ): AC43, departs 10:50 PM, arrives 5:30 AM the next morning

The flight numbers show a mix of Air Canada (AC) and Air India (AI) flights.

What it costs

The fare quoted for this full itinerary was $2,575 CAD, taxes included. Confirm with your agent whether the fare is per person and which cabin it applies to before you book.

Layovers to plan for

• London: about 3 hours between landing and your Delhi flight. This is workable, but keep an eye on the time.
• Delhi (outbound): you land just after midnight and depart at 5:10 AM, so roughly 4 hours 45 minutes. Plan to wait in the airport rather than book a hotel.
• Delhi (return): about 8 hours between landing from Amritsar and your overnight flight to Toronto. That is a long wait, so bring something to do and some snacks.

Good to know

• You spend about 12 nights on the ground in and around Amritsar, which suits a family visit or a longer trip to Punjab.
• The outbound journey crosses two overnight periods and reaches Amritsar the morning of the third day. Rest well when you arrive.
• Check that your passport is valid and that you have the right visa or OCI documents for India before you book.
• Because the routing uses separate flight numbers, confirm with your agent how your bags are checked through at each stop.
