Montreal to Islamabad with Qatar Airways via Doha: Fares and Layover Tips

Flying from Montreal to Pakistan, or planning a quick trip to Europe? Here is a look at fares our agents quoted for two popular routes from Montreal: Islamabad with Qatar Airways, and Frankfurt with Air Canada.

The route: Montreal to Islamabad

The itinerary was a one-stop trip via Doha on Qatar Airways, in economy, with departure in early October 2026 and return in early December 2026.

• Outbound: Montreal to Doha, an evening departure. Then Doha to Islamabad, arriving the next night.
• Return: Islamabad to Doha in the early morning, then on to Montreal.

Our agent pointed out that this routing is a true one-stop flight via Doha. Some online searches show itineraries via the USA instead, so always check where you connect.

What it costs

| Option | Fare | |---|---| | Qatar, short return connection | $1,810 CAD | | Qatar, another return option | $1,825 CAD | | Qatar, return with a long layover (around 20 hours) | $1,745 CAD |

Moving the return by a few days, from 2 December to 8 December, kept the $1,745 CAD fare the same. Dates can be flexible, but it is always worth asking.

Baggage

The $1,745 CAD fare included 2 checked bags of 23 kg each plus a 7 kg hand carry. Always confirm the baggage allowance before you book.

Montreal to Frankfurt

For a mid-August trip of about 20 days, we quoted Air Canada direct flights:

• $1,328 CAD: carry-on only
• $1,588 CAD: 1 checked bag (23 kg) plus 1 carry-on

The $260 CAD difference is worth considering if you are staying a while.

Good to know

• A long layover can lower the fare, but check the connection time on the return before you commit. A short connection costs a little more but gets you home sooner.
• Compare baggage rules, not just the headline price. Carry-on-only fares can end up costing more once you add a bag.
• Fares change quickly. Seats at a given price can sell out, especially for departures in busy travel months.

Prices were quoted in August 2026 in Canadian dollars, include taxes, and are subject to seat availability and change. Contact FJ Travels and Tours for today's price.
