Calgary to Lahore in November 2026: PIA vs Turkish Airlines fares and baggage

Flying to Pakistan from Western Canada is not always simple. Calgary travellers often ask whether there is a direct option, and how to travel with two checked bags. Here is what FJ Travels and Tours quoted for a Calgary to Lahore trip in November 2026.

The route

• PIA: Calgary to Toronto, then Toronto to Lahore. There is no direct PIA flight out of Calgary, but the fare is a single ticket from Calgary.
• PIA schedule: twice weekly from Canada, on Tuesdays and Fridays. The next departure after late October was Tuesday, November 3.
• Return: PIA flies Lahore to Toronto on Thursdays and Sundays.
• Turkish Airlines: a two-stop routrouting is available.
• Etihad: no seats were available on the dates we checked.

What it costs

All prices are in Canadian dollars, per person, and include taxes.

| Airline | Baggage | One-way | Return | |---|---|---|---| | PIA from Calgary | 2 pieces | $1,425 CAD | $2,150 CAD | | Turkish Airlines (2 stops) | 1 piece | $1,399 CAD | $2,425 CAD |

PIA was the better value for return travel with 2 bags. A PIA return ticket with 2 pieces cost $2,150 CAD, while the Turkish return with 1 piece cost $2,425 CAD.

Good to know

• Baggage decides the airline. Turkish Airlines had no 2-piece option on these dates, so PIA was the only choice for two checked bags.
• Mixing airlines costs more. Flying PIA one way and another airline back means two separate tickets, which usually costs more than a single return fare.
• Fares expire. The PIA fare was valid only until October 1. After that, FJ has to re-check and quote a new fare, so confirm early if you have found a price that suits you.
• To book, we need a clear photo of each traveller's passport. Once tickets are issued, we can add special requests such as airport wheelchair assistance and get them confirmed.
• Check your dates. If your preferred day has no flight, the nearest PIA departure may be several days later, so plan time off work and your return flight accordingly.

Planning tip

If you are travelling from Calgary, Edmonton or elsewhere in Western Canada, compare total cost and baggage allowance, not just the headline fare. Ask FJ to check both PIA and a European or Middle Eastern carrier for your dates.
