Calgary to Karachi with a Saudi Arabia Stopover: Etihad and Flynas Fare Guide

Want to visit Saudi Arabia on the way to Pakistan? A stopover in Jeddah and Madinah is an easy way to combine the two trips on one ticket. Here is a December 2026 itinerary from Calgary that FJ Travels and Tours quoted, with the fares and baggage rules.

The route

This is a multi-city ticket. You fly into Saudi Arabia, leave from Madinah, and return from Karachi.

• Outbound: Calgary (YYC) to Abu Dhabi (AUH) to Jeddah (JED) on Etihad Airways, leaving in mid-December 2026.
• Saudi stopover: about 3 nights in the Jeddah and Madinah area.
• Onward: Madinah (MED) to Karachi (KHI) on Flynas, flight XY805.
• Return: Karachi to Abu Dhabi on Etihad EY295, then Abu Dhabi to Calgary on EY29. You leave Karachi on the evening of 30 December and land in Calgary early on 31 December.

What it costs

The fare depends on the baggage you choose for the Madinah to Karachi leg:

• $3,375 CAD per person: hand carry only on Madinah to Karachi.
• $3,400 CAD per person: 1 bag of 30 kg on Madinah to Karachi. This was the final discounted fare.
• $3,465 CAD per person: 2 bags on the full journey, as first quoted.

Prices include taxes. An earlier version of the itinerary, which left Calgary a few days sooner, was quoted at about $3,075 CAD. Fares moved with the dates and the baggage choice, so the price changed as the plan changed.

What is included

• Economy return flights as described above.
• Etihad Airways: 2 bags of 23 kg each on all Etihad flights.
• Flynas (Madinah to Karachi): 1 bag of 30 kg.
• Halal meals on Etihad flights.

Hotels and transfers were not part of this quote. Book them separately or ask us to add them.

Good to know

• Tickets are non-refundable. Date changes are allowed, but airline penalties apply.
• If the airline cancels the flight or routing, the ticket is refunded under the airline's policy.
• Fares can change at any time. There is no set purchase deadline, so once your dates are final, book as soon as you can.
• Names must match your passport. We need the exact passport name to make the reservation, then we send a PDF itinerary.
• Mixed airlines mean mixed baggage rules. Check the allowance on each leg, especially the Flynas sector.
